Why would I want to put fish in Mangalsutra? Obvious question who deep dive into motifs would have thought. There are so many reasons I would want to do that, first and obvious Matsya is one of the Avatars of God Vishnu. Another one being, fish represents fertility and abundance. They are agile, and their intellect of coming back to roots and sometimes against the flowing water is simply awesome.
It’s one of my favorite motifs, we see Matsya/ Meen Jodi in Hindu and Jain ashtamangala motifs and I simply can’t get over these beautiful icons from ancient times.
Hope you all will love them with my favorite combination of green and black enamel. Since black is Shubh in Mangalsutra it’s all the more reason why I could make this stunning combination yet again.
